The Discovery Channel has been an amazing source for science news and just plain and simple, great education! The Daily Planet, a segment of the the Discovery Channel, features daily news, discussion and commentary on the scientific aspects of current events. From information about fighting robots, the CERN Hadron Collider, dinosaurs and now speeding skateboarders, you can find it all at the Daily Planet!
In October I was fortunate enough to get approached by the Discovery Channel to do a small story about speed record. I happened to be in Canada at the time to do the interview with my hometown of Vernon, BC as the backdrop! I was interviewed by the very beautiful and charming co-host Ziya Tong! She has hosted CBC’s ZeD, CTV’s Island Escapes and even written for Wired among the many accomplishments in her career.
